About the job

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper to support our finance operations with day-to-day accounting tasks. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and a solid understanding of basic accounting processes. You will be responsible for bookkeeping, reconciliations, invoice management, and expense entry.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
    Record daily financial transactions in accounting software.

  • Ensure all entries follow proper accounting standards.

Bank & Account Reconciliation

  • Perform regular bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.

  • Identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

  • Reconcile supplier and customer statements when needed.

Invoicing & Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare and issue customer invoices.

  • Track outstanding invoices and follow up on payments.

  • Ensure all invoice data is accurate and recorded correctly.

Expenses & Accounts Payable

  • Enter supplier bills and expense claims.

  • Match receipts and verify documentation.

  • Prepare payment runs and monitor due dates.

General Support

Assist the finance team with month-end tasks.

Maintain organised financial filing systems (digital and physical).

Support ad-hoc accounting tasks as needed.

Skills & Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of bookkeeping or junior accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
